Just to get this out of the way, here's my official opinion on "Twilight". I have none. I don't hate it nor do I like it. I never read the novels or seen the movies and I don't really care to. I have a tendency to stay away from these teen fads. I never liked being a teenager and I don't really like them now either. But this doesn't mean I purposely stay away from teen fads because they're cool. No. That's not me. If something becomes a teen trend and it happens to poke at my interest then I will like it. When Harry Potter came out, I never took interest in reading the books but I did watch the movies and liked them. (Shutup

it's not what you think.

) And Harry Potter was a huge teen trend. Of course I know that it's not only teens that like these things but teens seem to make up the majority of fans, and the majority of teens are girls.
Now if they play the Twilight movies on a television channel (which they'll probably do next year since it's so popular) and I have some free time, I'll sit down and watch it. That way they only thing it's costing me is time.
Now I will say I'm not exactly in the middle on the like/dislike meter on Twilight. I'm slightly leaning towards dislike and the only reason behind that is the fans. Oh my good the fans. I've never seen any one so obsessed with something. A lot seem to take offense to any anti-Twilight comments, they talk about Twilight all the time, etc. I see them at work gasping over the entire set of books we sell and the other Vampire novels we have, and squealing over shirts in the juniors section that say "Someday my
prince VAMPIRE will come" and one that said something like "I like it when my men sparkle". Really quickly, I want to say something about the pale sparkly vampire thing... now writers are free to be as creative as they want. So I appreciate Stephanie Meyers attempt to be creative with the whole vampires sparkle thing and whatever other different characteristics she twisted or added. I personally think that maybe she could have done something a little better. I have no examples though.
Also some of those fans seem to be those teen girls that are going through the stage I went through in high school; that whole "dress in black, be dark and depressed, make people think I'm goth" stage. And those kids really annoy me. But that's a whole different subject.
That's pretty much my opinion on Twilight. This wasn't typed to offend anyone so I apologize if I did offend someone (well to the few people who even view my page). Comments are allowed. I will not respond to comments I consider "idiotic".
